Shortly before Christmas, one of our dogs injured her leg chasing our other dog. We took her to our vets and they referred us to a specialist. He performed surgery on her. She had torn the Cruciate ligaments in her knee.

That was over three months ago. She had to spend most of her time inside a crate that's big enough to house a German Shepard, so whilst not uncomfortable, she wasn't very happy. She has done a fantastic job with her recovery and Hens has done amazing work with her to strengthen her leg, doing hill exercises, figure of 8's, puppy squats, stairs and tons more.

Shadow has recovered now. So much so that on our recent trip to see the surgeon who operated on her, he had to check his files to see which leg he had operated on! This last week end, we went to see another physio specialist. She had an amazing tank, that filled with water and had a treadmill in it. Shadow had to walk in the tank with the specialist raising the treadmill to simulate going up hill, for about an hour. We took our other dog (and her boyfriend) and they played with each other through the glass and Shadow spent the whole time trying to get to him, it was very sweet.

We have one more trip to the treadmill and then Shadow is completely fine. Her bone will mend completely by the end of the year but after next week end, she is free to chase ducks, eat sheep poo and roll in whatever she finds (the more disgusting, the better for her).
