I have recently unlocked my barracks to level 2. I can choose to take one of my followers as a bodyguard. You have to assign them using the board at your Garrison, the same way you would to have someone work in any other building. You might have to wait an hour for them to show up, I'm not sure about that part but when they do (mine was outside), talk with them and ask them to accompany you about in your adventures. I have taken Delvar Ironfist. He's an Epic follower and also a DK Tank. That part is really great for us none DPS or Healer types. You now have your own personal Tank or DPS to help with treasure hunting, finishing off quests, whatever you like really. They can't accompany you into dungeons or raids but for the rest, they are really great! When you kill things with them, it increases your rep with that follower. They get something at the next level and something better on the last level.

Here are the traits if you would like to know. - Scroll down half way for the details.

I imagine some are great and some not so great. I've also found that you can kill level 90/1 mobs and still get 10 rep per kill. It doesn't seem to matter what level creatures you're fighting, the rep is the same. Should make it easier to get your rep up.

i used delvar for some time while leveling , he is hitting hard, harder then my shaman.

but he is pulling too much mobs because of DnD , lucky to him he has me as healing source.

but i like the sabertooth shaman more , he can also heal you and, not goingto pull lots, he only hits that u hit
