shamans , what u think about your classes so far?

| for my self , my main reason to start playing as shaman is ability to cast while moving , as a caster it was just awesome . Now i fell like stuck , casting is so damn slow .
for AoE my main damage comes from earthquake, it has like 2.2 sec cast time , also if i want to use it i need to cast chain-lightning before it so it will be gain power from chain-lightning + 1.77 sec. and a global cooldown
so before i start a good AoE i need damn 5 second LOL. with a nice group it always like " trash dead while i was casting" . and its not fun .
boss fights is just ok . i mean all casters gonna suffer some dps loses . my only mobility thing while i casting is spritwalker's grace and im gonna use it when i pop ascendance and is not enough , because of slow casting speed.
also the self heal is too weak i think , that totem cant heal me . its 1 k heal every tick , it ticks like 8 or 9 , if it crits , roughly 10k total . like a joke .
and i think it heal random ppl too , like when soloing something if some ally get near it possibly heal him instead of you for some ticks .
too much QQ heh.
so i dont know , i didnt like it so far . i hope it will be better when we get nice gears .

Raid Team Healer

| Hey Akkam,
I can see what your are saying, however you won't be running dungeons for the majority of this expansion. In roughly 2 weeks from now the first raid will be out and everything will change again. Trash packs in a raid are up for a lot longer, which will give you plenty of time to cast chain lightning & earthquake and still do a lot of AOE damage before they are dead. Also boss fights will last longer and we will all have to see how much movement every fight has. It always takes time to find your best rotation for every boss.
The totem indeed is very weak, however if you use it and combine with Shamanistic rage & Astral Shift.. you really buy your healer time to heal up everyone in the group / raid. Healing is very different to how it was, and this will take adjustment from the entire group, not just the healers.
Don't give up on your char to quick Shamans are still very cool!!!

| Must admit I'm really not enjoying shammys much but haven't played much in WOD yet, I only dps and haven't yet tried enhancement, not being able to move and cast really has taken the shine off the class for me, it's not much fun and I keep interrupting my spellcasting thinking I can move :-/
Really missing my healing tide totem and being able to heal myself to full really quickly - all in all the fun has been sucked out of the class for me
