How to elicit help from Tech support

I read an extremely well written and very informative thread about Tech support and IT professionals. It provides some very smart ways to try and get the help you require. It really made me think a lot about the types of threads you often see on forums.

The article is fairly lengthy but that is one of the principal complaints about those being constantly asked for help. The vast majority of the users asking for help aren't willing to invest any time into solving the issue themselves:




Very worth a read and I suspect it will help most of us out the next time we contact someone in the know for interwebs help.
